About Our Business
"I can't count how many times I've heard an artist say,"they told me I was
good, but I need better production!" Always know as an artist, the music
you perform over can hurt you! The whole idea of the concept of
production is much more than how it is used casually today. It is much
more than just making a "beat"! In production, you not only compose the
music, but you then Have to match it with lyrics that "Flow" with the
music, like it's supposed to be together. Then you have to find the artist
that can deliver the matching sound!
And that is what we do here! Our goal is to create remember able,
enjoyable music! For the most part, each record is composed specifically
for that artist's song. The artist should not have to compromise his/her
idea to fit what the producer  wants. If anything the producer's job is to
take the idea of the artist and enhance it, formulate it and mold it into the
song that the artist hears in their minds, and at the same time make it a
record people will enjoy!
That is truly professional  production, and that is what we do here at
NYCS Records. Upon initial contact, we do a brief consultation to find out
what exactly is the artist looking for as far as music production. Once a
basis is established, then we can proceed to fill the need of that artist."

Did You Know?
Majority of the time, an
A&R is listening to how
well the music and the
lyrics "Match" or blend.
This creates a "Feel" or
a groove for the track! If
your lyrics are not
"Flowing" with the "Feel"
of the music, then the
track becomes
frustrating to listen to.
And whether you are
talented or not, this will
give you a sure rejection
on your demo
submissions!

CEO. / Owner
Larry T. Belcher, a.k.a. “TimScott”
Born in Jamaica Queens, New York on May 30, 1976, I started playing the bass when I was
around 7 or 8 years old! My father is a musician, who plays the guitar, so when he was out I would
sneak into the basement and play on his guitars, but I was fonder of the bass because it had only
four strings! Later I was bought a Casio Keyboard (the sampling one) for my birthday, and started
playing the keys! Always being around music, I found myself wanting to make music as well.
In the end of 1989, me and my family moved to South Carolina, where I now presently reside. My
grandmother taught me my first gospel song, and I had a cousin who would also give me tips and
“tricks” on the keyboard! through out the years, I have played with many gospel groups, once
opening for John P. Kee at a local concert. Playing with musicians who have played with artists
like James Brown,  Count Basie,  Prince, Marcus Miller, Miles Davis, and other jazz and blues
artists.
Around the mid-90’s, I started writing my own music. I bought a Tascam 4track and an Ensoniq
SQ2 keyboard and started producing and composing my own materials as well. Today I enjoy
producing/composing and recording on my DAW system.  I have four solo artists, a group of three,
and a group of six who I now produce and record at the moment.
N.Y.C.S. (New York City Southern, pronounced “NICE”), was derived in 2005. The name was
chosen because of my home origin and the combination of where I live now! This is my Production
label as well as the name of my Independent record label.  Samples of our music can be found on

I have been an A.S.C.A.P. Member since 2003, with plans of becoming a Grammy member soon. I
have attended the Billboards’ 2005 Hip-Hop Awards conference in Atlanta, GA. I am also a
“Producer-For-Hire”, composing for artists in New York, Rhode Island, North Carolina, Atlanta,
and London.

About,
Osia “Ghetto Slim” Wideman, A.K.A “Slim Slater”

I was born on July 24, 1969, in Greenwood, SC. I grew up listening to the
music that my brother played every day. I discovered rap music one day after my sister Sharon
brought a record from New York, when she went to visit with her boyfriend Mike, back in 1981.
The name of the record was “Sugar Hill Gang”. Later on I discovered several others that would
influence me. LL Cool J was my favorite, but I really wanted to rap after I heard “Raheem the
Vigilante”. It was something about the way Raheem was rapping that intrigued me, so I started
“Rhymin" myself.
Later, I hooked up with partner, John Brown (“Baby J”), and we formed “Verbal Assault” But
because of complications, we didn’t drop a CD until the late 90’s. But by performance at local
talent shows, I became a legend and people started respecting me for my rhymes.
In 1998, “Baby J’ and I dropped an album called “Finally, the Album”, which we sold over 300
copies! “Baby J” left the group to pursue other options, but I continued because I love rap. I
hooked up with a producer/rapper “TimScott”, in 1998, and together we’ve been since!
Recording some “funky-ass” music, I recently completed my first “Solo” Album entitled ‘Return
Of The Real”. My final goal of what I would like to achieve in Rap is to bring the “Game” back to
“Lyrics” in the South, and to represent “Real M.C.’s” to the fullest!

Thanks for listening.

About,

“Kross The Track Boys”

I was born in Greenwood South Carolina, and raised in McCormick, SC. The son
of Mrs. Daisy Lee Quarles and the late Mr. Charlie Quarles. I’m the youngest of 13 children,
born Nov. 27, 1970.
My love for music started at a very young age, because I was always around music or something
with it! I remember when I was about 10 or 11; my mother had a pool hall with a jukebox in it. I
would listen to that jukebox all day long, and learned every song on it, word for word! I can
remember days when I wouldn't’t even go outside and play, I’d rather listen to music.
After listening and learning the lyrics, I was truly amazed at the things the artist would say, but at
the same time, they said a lot of things I could relate to! So I started buying music to build my
own collection of artists. No particular artist, I would listen to it all; Gospel, R&B, Country, Rap,
and Reggae. By the time I was 15 or 16, I had all artists I wanted and more, so I started making
tapes and selling them from like $5 to $7. I’ve even had to “DJ” a couple of times. Music was my
life! After school every evening, I would go straight home to watch shows like, “Yo MTV Raps!”,
and “Rap City”, and would stay there until the shows went off! I mean, I just love music. There’s
been times where every artist I saw, I wished it was me. Presently, I’ve been doing music for the
past 3 ½ yrs. Straight, producing and writing, the whole works.
And I’ve decided that’s all I want to do, “Make Music”!

Sincerely, Yours Truly
Bryant ”BQ” Quarles.

About,
Katesha Gould A.K.A. "MUFFY"!

Hello, my name is "Muffy"! I've been doing music
since I was nine years old. I grew up in the church and sang on the choir! That's were I begin to
notice and everyone around me started to notice that I was a "pretty good" singer, and I just
loved music and new music! I love to write music most of all, letting  the beat and my heart take
over me! I let the beat talk to me.  Then the lyrics come so easy but perfect! I love writing short
stories, skits and cartoons! It's fun taking nothing and making it out to be something! This is my
calling! What I'm sent here to do! I write music for everyone, for all walks of life! I'm not your
average artist stuck in a box! I'm a creator of "Music"!
I have performed on many stages across and along the East Coast, delivering a sound
that the people loves! Me and pastor Troy worked together when he debuted back in the late
90's, just further letting me know whether solo or with a major artist, I have a connection with my
fans.  I came to NYCS years later, as well as started my own company, "BlueMoney
Entertainment"!
As of February 2009, I will be releasing my 4th album entitled "BlueMoney Radio"!
Built around the concept of a radio station! With "Radio Host" and short Skit-Commercials, it is
truly a "Put in & Play" album!
